Hi there. I've tried just about every piano soundmaking software there is. From Pianoteq and Akoustik Pian to Ivory. I have a Yamaha P70, and frankly the built-in sounds aren't too impressive. Maybe it's because of the tiny (tinny) speakers. I've come to the conclusion that there is NO better piece of kit than Synthogy's Ivory Piano. Full stop. Pianoteq is great in that it's a virtual instrument, without needing 40GB of samples. But the sound just doesn't cut it. Akoustik has the best of both worlds. It's partially driven by samples that are enhanced with virutalization. But for the truest, deepest and richest piano sound, Ivory wins hands down. (I don't work for them. I swear!)
