Le Roux's music falls between the First school of French harpsichord music and the latter greats of Couperin and Rameau. I have another solid recording by Glen Wilson's student, Naoka Akutagawa. Glen Wilson performs the unmeasured preludes, and they also play the pieces written for two harpsichords together.

My latest piece I'm trying to learn on the harpsichord is that long Sarabande in 12 couplets. Gorgeous music!

Had a listen to Rousset at my colleague's house the other day and found your blog post as I was trying to find out a little more about him.

I will be buying this CD for my friend as his birthday present - thanks for your review/comments
